Puowaina Bridge Slope Stabilization

Due to continuing erosion over the years, the "uphill" abutment for this critical link to the Tantalus/Round Top residential area needed to be stabilized and protected.  Repair plans called for construction of an structural shotcrete facing to prevent any escalation of the erosion and undermining of the abutment

Custom Maui Estate

Million-dollar views greeted our crews as they mobilized and installed the deep foundation system for this opulent residential estate on the south shore of Maui. When completed, this project totaled approximately 6000 linear feet of drilled and grouted injection micro-piles. 235 micro-piles were installed under the guidance and direction of the Owner’s design team, which included geotechnical/field engineers.

Kawela Bridge

An aged bridge along the south shore highway of Molokai was specified for replacement.  New abutments required micro-piles to provide the required bearing and seismic design resistance.  40 micro-piles later with a pre-production test and 4 proof tests under their belts, our crews bid Aloha to the Friendly Isle!

Gartley Hall

Our crews installed micro-piles to both underpin and construct a new deep foundation system as part of the restoration and upgrade of this historic structure. Atlas Pier Brackets were combined with drilled and cased micro-piles to satisfy the unique underpinning requirements of the work.

Iolani School

Expansion at a prominent local private college-prep academy included construction of a deep foundation system. Our crews installed micro-piles to an average depth of 120 feet.  A down-the-hole (DTH) hammer simultaneously drilled and installed casing to the required final depths as monitored by the owner’s geotechnical/field engineer.
